Celebrating dad's birthday, I initially wanted to bring my folks over to eat at Newton Circus but since mom say she wanna go try the food at Lavender at a particular XXX stall (didn't catch the name), well i thought so be it.

and so we trot dwn to lavender only to find ourselves seriously disgusted with what's there. lavender foodcourt now is so unlike lavendar food court then. quality of the food served has gone down big time.. or at least for the stuff we tried. at least the chicken wings were fine but frm the chinese stall which we bought stingray and kang kong and etc... i have endless grumbles and complaints man.

FIRSTLY, the stupid stingray taste like crap. hardly any chilli and wasn't well cooked. and more importantly, it reminds me of my stupid decision of not having gone newton circus cos the stingray there was a 100x tastier!

SECONDLY,the kangkong also not good.

zut zut not too bad but wasn't spicy enough. taste wise.. ok lah. wilson's first time trying it and ate quite a few. surprisingly - cos some ppl who've avoided eating it. it's those conical shell slugs yea.

THIRDLY, the stupid man bring our dishes to us has very bad service. my mom wants to smack him lol quite funny. he asked for payment before bringing all the dishes to us. wah lau.

then my dad could not resist temptations and bought chicken rice.

my dad used to sell chicken rice and very good one too. it's not the typical kind you find everywhere else yea and too bad he hurt his back so he can't sell it anymore. good thing tho bcos somehow, it lessened the conflict between my parents because of the stall and politics of the hawker center. auntie uncle gossips are very horrid. they tear families apart.

the chicken rice my dad bought sucked.

boned was sorta grey. means not entirely well cooked. then dad started complaining. he drank stout that night and so was a lil more relaxed. then jokingly asked me this question.

"where in singapore sells the best chicken rice you know?"

then there were like 3 mins of silence. then i look at him. wilson too.

"LIM LAO PEI'S STALL LA!" (UR DAD'S STALL LA!)

then he smacked my head.

lol.. crazy dad. but quite funny lah.

actually... just across the street there's this shop sellin pig organ soup.
ate there once cos wilson brought me. i kinda forgot about it.
but now that i'm reminded of it, i remember it tasted pretty good!
stupid of me having not suggested coming here instead.

it's just across the road frm lavendar foodcourt.

XXXXXX

i came home to see this mega lighter my mom used to light the joss sticks.
